Last Thursday night was the Taste of De La Salle at the high school in their Hofmann Student Center and JMD was happy to be there participating in this fun event. A Taste of De La Salle is a delightful celebration of food and wine and annual benefit that kicks off the school’s spring fund raising efforts benefiting all co-curricular activities at De La Salle High School. These activities include Athletics, Campus Ministry, Company, Band, Robotics, and more. 18 wineries offered tastings such as Auburn James, Andrus Island, Jamieson Ranch, Laird Family Estates, Mitchell Katz Winery, Topel Winery, Troll Bridge Cellars and their own Speratus to name a few. In addition to the 18 wineries who were onsite for tasting and sales, there were 10 restaurants that sampled their scrumptious food; Crumb Bakeshop, Forno De Sbarro, Moblie Wood Fired Pizza, Scott's Seafood, Strizzi, Tower Grill and more. If wine is not your beverage of choice, there were also 2 beer companies Black Diamond & Creek Monkey Beer, on hand.
In addition to the wonderful wine and delicious food, JMD was front and center selling their Chain Reaction necklaces, one of a kind vintage pieces and some very exclusive sterling silver pieces. Everyone was in a celebratory mood as the evening progressed. Making the evening even more special, was having the former and current DLS “motherhood” on hand as part of the JMD “dream team”. Julie Wallanus, Marianne Bouza and Tammy Borosky were all in attendance supporting DLS and JMD both! All three are current or past DLS moms. Pictured with these talented and dedicated moms, is the President of DLS high school, Mark DeMarco.
